How to wear makeup with contact lenses

How to wear makeup with contact lenses

Beautiful makeup enhances - so the saying goes. How to apply makeup with contact lenses?

Beautiful makeup enhances - as the saying goes. And indeed, it has become part of our everyday life, one of the basic steps in our morning routine to beautify our face, emphasize favorable features. In everyday life, we opt for more subtle, restrained methods: just a bit of powder, mascara is typical, but as the end-of-year holidays approach, more prominent, eye-catching makeup techniques come to the fore.

However, the question always arises as to what rules apply to makeup for contact lens wearers, whether anything needs to be done differently or paid extra attention to? We'll explore this topic now.

Most Important: the Order

If you wear glasses, then you have it very simple: you apply your makeup first, then put on your glasses. It couldn't be solved the other way around. But what about the contact lens makeup combo?

Here, the order is of great importance. In the morning, always put the lenses into your eyes first, and only then reach for your makeup tools. If you don't do this, you can easily get the already applied paint into your eyes when putting in the lenses, which can lead to eye inflammation.

In the evening, however, things should happen in reverse: before you start rubbing your eyes with a cotton pad soaked in makeup remover, be sure to take out the lenses! If some makeup gets on them in the process, it's not a problem because after a thorough rinse, you'll put them back in the storage case anyway. After that, you can comfortably remove the makeup from your eyes without worrying about damaging your contact lenses.

Be Cautious with the Festive Glitter

If you enjoy creating glittering makeup looks as the holidays approach, then take a piece of advice as a contact lens wearer: instead of easily dispersing glitter powders, opt for gel or jelly-textured glittery products, eyeliners. Even if you apply an eyeshadow base to your eyelids and tap the little sparkles into it, there's a good chance they'll scatter everywhere, some may even get into your eyes, onto the lenses. Gel-based products, on the other hand, won't shed like this, won't endanger your eyes or lenses, and they can still be worked with just as beautifully.

Makeup with Contact Lenses

So, feel free to experiment with various makeups even as a contact lens wearer, just follow these few rules, so you won't find yourself in a situation where you're tearing off the carefully done makeup a minute later due to paint particles getting into your eyes!
